The default for both is ALL if you do not select s specific region or genre. Then you click GO - and the top 12 with that filter will appear below. You can see more bands from that filter by clicking for more pages.

To vote for a band you need to go to their individual band page.

Voting

Anyone with a Facebook account can vote in this contest and voting is FREE.

You can vote for as many or as few bands as you want. However, you can only vote ONCE for each band. Mcfly will pick the opening bands for the 26 nights of their March-April 2012 tour from the top 50 vote getters in this contest.

To vote you go to the bands individual page as explained under 'Home Page' above. On a band page you will see a photo, Facebook link, description, region, genre and a you tube video. To vote you must have a Facebook account and be signed into Facebook at the same time. If you are not, the system will prompt you to sign into Facebook.

To vote, just click on the LIKE button. This will be re-calibrated with Facebook on a regular basis and you will not be able to vote (like this page) more than once for a band.

When the voting ends, the results and all the band pages will remain online at Mcfly.Com until the end of the tour so you can refer back. Band Provisions

Band entry in this contest is FREE. Winners are responsible for their own travel to play a show.

Mcfly has announced a UK tour for March and April of 2012. However, Mcfly does not have any liability for changes in dates, routing, timing or cancellation of some of all of these dates.

Mcfly will chose bands to open the dates on this tour from the top 50 vote getters in this contest. Voting is currently scheduled to run from 1 November thru 12 January though Mcfly retains the right to change these dates. Mcfly will assign selected bands for venues/nights but will attempt to put bands at venues that are nearer to their home area where possible.

Mcfly will provide normal equipment for live performance so that bands/artists do not have to bring equipment other than their normal instruments and cymbals and similar if they like.

Bands agree to use this common equipment as a condition of performing though you may also elect to perform vocal over track rather than live. Solo artists using vocals over track rather than a live band are also eligible. Bands can play a set of 3 songs and up to 15 minutes, though this could be extended by Mcfly if there is not another support act on your night.

Bands may be provided a few complimentary guest tickets if they are available but this is not guaranteed. You will have to comply with all rules of the venue and follow instructions from Mcfly production personnel. You will not be allowed to distribute literature or CD's inside the venue except by permission from Mcfly in advance and by the venue in compliance with their rules. You can film your own performance with one camera if the venue allows but not any part of Mcfly's performance. Enjoy the experience and the promotional reach it provides you.

Eligible Bands

Bands must be based in the UK and have at least one responsible member who is 16+ or otherwise a parent needs to be also listed in the sign-up process. Bands can be unsigned or signed.

For bands selected to open a Mcfly show, if no member is 18 at least one responsible parent will need to accompany them to the show.
