Choose who you want to support McFly on their spring 2012 tour!

Mcfly will pick 26 bands to open nights on its March-April 2012 tour from the top 50 vote getters in this battle of the bands contest. It is free to sign-up and for fans to vote.

Being in the top 50 does not guarantee an opening spot but the results and band pages will remain up after the contest for McFly and other fans to browse for an extended period.

Bands sign up for free here - you need a Facebook link, photo and you tube video (under 5 mins). You can ask your fans to vote for you here and McFly fans will also be browsing and voting so it is great promo. To be sure votes count, refer fans to Mcfly.Com rather than giving a link to your specific band page.

Bands register from 12 Oct. Voting starts 1 Nov and ends 12 Jan. Fans can vote for as few or many bands as they wish - but only once for any one band. On the tour the opening bands will play on common equipment McFly will provide (you can bring cymbals, etc) for a set of at least 3 songs (15 mins) which may be extended if there is no second support. Sound check on the night is only as time allows. Winners will be provided with complete info for their night.

Bands have to be UK based. You can be unsigned or signed to a label. Entry and voting is FREE. If no band member is 16, then you need to have a parent or adult anager be the responsible person in the 'about you' section.

McFly will attempt to select bands for venues nearer their home area to the extent possible.

See the FAQ for fuller band info. All support bands will use common backline that Mcfly will provide at no cost on the tour. The opening band set will be 3 songs up to 15 minutes, though this could be extended by Mcfly if thre is no other support act on your night.
